James releases debut solo album

James has released his debut solo album, entitled Keep the Music Playing. The disc features Elliot Launn, Slide Action, Lucy Knight, Tredegar Town Band and Classical PopUps and has been produced on the Doyen label.

James appointed Principal Trumpet of the London Symphony Orchestra

James Fountain has been appointed Principal Trumpet of the London Symphony Orchestra, in place of David Elton, who has joined the Sydney Symphony. Elton had held the seat since 2017. James moves over from the London Philharmonic, where he had been since the age of 20.
